Here is how the system work:
- Every team establishes a starting baseline.
- Teams that participated last year receive a pre season baseline based on the team’s last year’s performance
- Teams that are new, have their baseline established by where they finish, relative to the other teams in the tournament
- “exception” if a new team finishes first, their baseline will be established at the next tournament, or receive a 100 at a ranking tournament.
- Points for a tournament are based on the teams that are entered. The point values of the field will be the points awarded for each finish.
- (example: the top seeded team’s points will be awarded to the team that finishes first, 5th place points awarded to the team that finishes 5th, etc.)
- Teams are rewarded for finishing higher than their seed, but are not penalized if they finish where they are seeded based on a predetermined point value for a tournament.
- Ranking will be published after each ranking tournament and after Region Bid Tournament.
- After the 2nd ranking tournament, for all teams that have a finish in the region, the baseline value will be dropped and your points will reflect this year’s points only.
- Most region tournaments will be used for the rankings (substantial sized tournaments only)
- All National Qualifiers will be used
- Other tournaments will be added based on the number of region teams participating.
