MLK Seeding Questions?

We have had several questions and/or concerns regarding the seeding for the MLK Power League.  We hope that this explanation will help share some light on these concerns.

The seeding for MLK was done as follows.
 
The top 10 teams in the open divisions were established by a pre-season poll of the voting club directors.
 
The poll and all other seeding was done prior to the New Year’s Classic tournament so those results were not considered.
 
Since this is basically the first tournament of the year in which the majority of teams play, it is impossible to be totally accurate. Things like changing rosters and new clubs make the seeding very difficult.
 
With that being said, we will not be changing the seeding for the event. At this point we will allow the kids to prove their seed on the court. Any negative impact on any team due to miss-seeding will be rectified in upcoming events and corrected with the human element and the database as it has in the years past.
